This book provides a nice balance of math, examples, and MATLAB computer. It was of great help for me to understand and code up my own forms of ANNs. The example code provided is a really nice feature. It also puts a great deal of emphasis on relating statistics with ANNs.

Good purchase

Am happy with this book. It is a highly useful and comprehensive compendium, and a must-have for the library shelf. Arrived in good condition, and is highly usable. As a side issue, I noted that there was a name written in the front cover - T Bernstein. This will be highly prized by me.

One of the better manuals available

I purchased this copy of the Speer #12 reloading manual to give as a gift to a new reloader. I also own a personal copy and it is one of my most used manuals. Of all of the manuals that are available, the Speer is one of the most complete. Although the #12 has long been superseded by newer manuals, I think the #12 was one of the last that the product liability lawyers hadn't totally castrated. The #11 is better but difficult to find.
This book is a must have for any serious reloader. In addition to the loading data (which is extensive), the Speer manual contains history, tips and general information. For the money, the Speer manual is the one to get!

A Good Place to Start

I am new to reloading and wanted a good book to start with, and this book has some sections near the beginning that teach you how to reload. Being that I mostly shoot 38 Special and 45 ACP, it doesn't bother me that the book is from the 1990's - the information contained therein is still good. The only reason that the book wouldn't be a good fit is if you need load information on some new powder/bullet combination that came out after this edition was published. It is well written and is a wealth of information.

Speer Manual #12

I just bought this manual because my old Speer Manual was so beat up and falling apart it was embarrassing.
It also has loads with some of the newer powders on the market too, so I can stay up-to-date. The price was right because it was a used book. But it looks brand new.
