americans have no idea

there has always been so much information and research available that shows europeans and native americans, to be late comers behind africans, exploring and settling the new world. unfortunately, racisim has and continues, to prevent such scholarship to be available mainstream. in this well researched book, the author provides historical, genetic, linguistic, cultural, archaeological evidence, to prove the anteriority of africans in ancient america. afriocans were the first humans, and the first on every continent, and the inventors of all civilizations, because there were no other people. when others were "formed", civilization had already been jump started by the original huermans or africans.

Skeptics and experts have been completely wrong lots of times

Regardless of what anyone may think of "African Empires in Ancient America" or Ivan Sertima's "They Came Before Columbus" it is worth noting the world of academics and scholars is just as rife with corruption, incompetence, bigotry and just being wrong abut things, as any other human institution. The book shouldn't accepted at face value nor should it be summarily dismissed.
For a few centuries the European "scientific" community was absolutely certain of the innate biological inferiority all non-white people. Despite being at war with each other, Europeans didn't have any trouble coming to that conclusion. The greed for colonies and resources most certainly colored academia. If you assume a group is incapable of certain kinds of thinking and activity, you will find other explanations for anything that runs contrary to your assumptions. It's looking at the world through white supremacist glasses. Western history texts completely ignored and in some cases denied West and Southern African civilizations until a generation of less racist scholars were compelled to start providing a more honest history of the continent.
If your funding depends on supporting certain political or capitalist agendas, your "scientific research" often mysteriously tilts toward conclusions which support the politicians and industrialists. Let's be honest, historically Europeans and Euro-Americans have been capable of monstrous and ridiculous things ( including creating entire disciplines of pseudo racial science) in the name of preserving the false notion of white superiority. As I recall, they were so determined people of color could not have built the pyramids, the "scientific community" used to assert Egyptians were a "lost white tribe." Hilariously, the same " a mysterious white tribe must have built them" canard was tossed around as an explanation for Great Zimbabwe ruins. So, there's good reason to skeptical of Euro-centric criticisms of works about African history.
How many scientists and scholars wrote about North africa and the impossibility of early civilization in the Sahara but were proved to be utterly wrong when we finally figured out the Sahara wasn't always a desert? Humans readily traversed that part of Africa for centuries before it became a desert. Aerial remote sensing has revealed things which would have been near impossible to discover otherwise. Arguing ancient roads ran through a wet Sahara would once have been dismissed as fantastical based on the available evidence, but now it appears to be quite true.
Scientists were comfortable asserting certain types of life forms couldn't exist until we found such life forms around thermal vents at the bottom of the ocean.
Don't get me wrong. Skepticism is healthy. Afrocentric scholars are no less capable of jumping to conclusions or interpreting datum to fit a theory. Everybody's work should be reviewed and debated. Rigorous investigation is important. I am just suggesting hanging out at "I doubt it" with an open mind, is smarter than pitching camp at "That's impossible!" with a closed mind.
